From coastal dunes and fynbos-covered plains to the windswept shores of the Atlantic, you’ll experience it all on a guided horseback ride suitable for all experience levels. Our trained horses and expert guides ensure a safe, comfortable, and awe-inspiring adventure.

The Reserve

Not only does the 1,700-hectare reserve offer stunning scenery, but it also hosts free-roaming herds of Eland, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebra, Kudu, Springbok, Impala, Waterbuck, Hartebeest, and Ostrich, as well as a variety of smaller and more elusive species.

The reserve features three biomes, salt pans, and seasonal wetlands that attract abundant wildlife.

Iconic Wildlife

The reserve is home to Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Hartebeest, Springbok, Steenbok, Duiker, and Ostrich – along with a wide variety of birdlife. Part of the adventure is the indigenous natural scenery native to the area.

West Coast Wildflowers

From late August to October, Yzerfontein on the West Coast bursts into a vibrant wildflower display. Daisies, Bokbaai Vygies, Cape Sorrel, and Arum Lillies blanket fields and dunes. Peak blooms on sunny days above 18°C, between 11 am and 3 pm.
